Choir
The choir at All Saints has an important role in leading the singing and worship. A friendly group of people who love singing, and new members are always welcome. There is no need to audition, just the ability to sing in tune. In the weekly rehearsals a wide variety of repertoire is covered, and helpful support is given with singing technique. The choir rehearses most Wednesday evenings in the church from 7pm to 8pm. There is also a short rehearsal on the Sunday morning at 9.15am, preceding the 10am service.
If you are interested in joining have a chat with our Director of Music, Emma Howarth, or drop her an email at: email@allsaintstooting.org.uk
Being a member of the choir at All Saints boosts confidence and bolsters independence and organisational skills. Singers also develop a strong sense of commitment, time management and self-discipline, and have the joy of leading the worship through their performing.
Socially, being in the choir at All Saints offers an opportunity to meet others with similar interests. The choir attracts a range of singers from varying cultural, ethnic and social backgrounds, some with singing experience, and some with very little or none. Many choir members make long-term friendships and there is very much an atmosphere of 'family'.
